Crafted from luxurious silk, this elegant chiffon scarf draws inspiration from Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s La Ghirlandata, 1873. The rose-colored flowers that adorn Rossetti’s garlanded lady’s harp are emulated on a dark emerald green base.
With a generous size of 50 x 162 cm, this semi-sheer rectangular scarf is versatile and can be styled in various ways, whether wrapped around the neck, knotted on a bag handle, or worn as a hood or headscarf.
This scarf is made in the UK and comes to Guildhall Art Gallery from Tate Britain, where The Rossetti's exhibition was hosted in 2023.
